The aim of study was to evaluate the quality of primary transurethral resection of bladder tumour, to determine the incidence of residual tumour (RT) and the impact of clinical and histopathological characteristics of primary tumour on the risk of occurence of RT. Consecutive 260 patients with intermediate and high risk primary non-muscle invasive bladder cancer were included in the study, repeat TUR was performed in 124 patients. Gender, age, pT stage, grade, number and diameter of primary tumours, presence/absence of muscle in TUR specimen and intravesical instillation of epirubicin within 6 hours after TUR were evaluated. Colitis caused by Clostridum difficile is a possible complication of antimicrobial therapy. Clostridum difficile was described in literature in 1935, but its importance is connected with the widespread of newer broad-spectrum antibiotics. Changes of intestine microflora and subsequent production of toxins A and B by Clostridium difficile play the main role in ethiopathogenesis of the disease. The diagnosis is based on the detection of toxins A and B, eventually on cultivation of Clostridium difficile and the proof of toxigenity of particular tribe. The role of endoscopy in diagnostic of this disease has been discussed. In our work we proved in...

The laser surgery is superior to conventional treatment of more and more medical disorders. It is very suitable for minimal invasive equipment use. The intracorporal laser lithotripsy is commonly used as a treatment of urinary calculi. The urothelial and prostate tissue incision, resection and ablation are effective and less risky. The Ho:YAG laser can be considered as the most adapted world wide equipment in urology. The Er:YAG laser is a somewhat recent addition, Tm:YAG is under research.
