Laser in endourology

The laser surgery is superior to conventional treatment of more and more medical disorders. It is very suitable for minimal invasive

equipment use. The intracorporal laser lithotripsy is commonly used as a treatment of urinary calculi. The urothelial and prostate tissue

incision, resection and ablation are effective and less risky. The Ho:YAG laser can be considered as the most adapted world wide equipment

in urology. The Er:YAG laser is a somewhat recent addition, Tm:YAG is under research.
