Laparoscopic operations on the pancreas - own experience

Study shows spectrum of laparoscopic operations on the pancreas which are performed at the Department of Surgery in F. D. Roosevelt

Hospital in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. In period 2005–2010 totaly 17 laparoscopic operation on the pancreas were performed – 7 enucleations,

3 tumor resections only and 7 distal pancreatectomies. There were zero mortality, in 2 patients developed pancreatic fistula

which was healed after conservative treatment. Laparoscopic operation on the pancreas are standard treatment of resectable tumors

of the body and tail of the pancreas at the surgical departments where advanced laparoscopy is performed.
