Radiofrequency ablation in management of early squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus

Radiofrequency ablation is a new, effective and safe treatment modality for Barrett´s esophagus associated with early neoplasia. So

far limited experience suggests its potential also for the treatment of early squamous cell neoplasia of the esophagus. Authors report

a case of early squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus treated by several sessions of endoscopic mucosal resection and subsequent

radiofrequency ablation.
