GAVE syndrome as an unusual cause of microcytic hypochromic anemia

An 88-years old female was followed several years for microcytic anemia treated with repeated blood transfusions. Endoscopy revealed

gastric antral vascular ectasias. Argon plasma coagulation of the lesion was effective in stabilization of the blood picture values.
