At the present time, laparoscopy has become a widely utilized diagnostic and therapeutic method, which in the hands of an experienced

surgeon can be less burdening for the patient than a classical surgical approach and can allow for easier and speedier recovery. Nevertheless,

it is important to remember that every method, even if better and more modern, still carries specific risks. Complications of

laparoscopy in gynecology occur in approximately 0.14–3.5 % (1). The objective, on which to focus our attention, is to try to minimize all

possible risks associated with laparoscopic procedures.

Keywords: laparoscopy, trocar, complications, perforation, embolism, hemorrhage.
